Metta Gluten Free Atta was inspired by my son who was diagnosed with a gluten sensitivity when he was eight years old. This meant no more Indian flatbreads, or rotis. A staple in North Indian cuisine, rotis are traditionally made from whole wheat flour (atta means flour in Hindi, an Indian language). Metta GF was developed after many years of trial and error to get just the right taste, look and feel like traditional wheat rotis. They had to be soft with just the right degree of chewiness and had to fluff up on the skillet, or tawa. Finally, a gluten free flour blend that makes deliciously nutritious flatbreads that are soft and full of flavor.
I have been using Metta atta since its launch. This is the only gluten free flour that is a blend of healthy allergen free ingredients and make rotis/tortillas tasty and easily. I blend all kind of veggies, leftover lentil soup etc. To make parathas and they turn out delicious too. I am so grateful to have this option as my son loves tortillas.

I have tried a LOT of gluten-free flour blends in the last 10 years and I can say without a doubt that Metta is the BEST for Indian breads! It's also the best I've found for making flour tortillas, I can make burritos now! Seriously if you are going to purchase a GF flour blend that actually tastes good on its own, this is the one.
